Gallus Named In Tribute to King Kenny

The name Gallus was chosen as a tribute to my favourite player of all time, Kenny Dalglish—“King Kenny.” In Scottish slang, gallus means bold, confident, and effortlessly cool, and that captured exactly what Dalglish represented on and off the pitch. His style, leadership, and fearlessness embodied the spirit of someone who was truly gallus. By naming the brand Gallus Collective, I wanted to carry forward that same attitude: unapologetic confidence, authentic character, and the courage to stand out.

Coia’s Café, Glasgow – Winter 2015

Photograph by Brian Anderson / Gallus Collective
18x18 inches, black and white – now 30% off (half frame edition)

This photo was taken on a quiet winter day in Glasgow back in 2015. Coia’s Café has always been a familiar place — warm light, good food, and local stories.

I wanted to capture that feeling in black and white — calm, honest, and a bit nostalgic.

Framed, square, and ready to hang. Simple, like the moment itself.

BABYSHAMBLES RETURN WITH ‘DANDY HOOLIGAN’ AND A UK TOUR

After more than a decade out of the game, Babyshambles are back swinging with a brand-new single, ‘Dandy Hooligan’ — their first release in twelve years, out now via Strap Originals.

The track has all the hallmarks of a classic Doherty tune — clever, loose, and charmingly chaotic — wrapped in what Pete himself calls “a well turned-out, elegantly crafted reggae-ska-pop song… with a sweet melody to bowl along to with your sharpened walking cane.”

It’s inspired by Bob Morris, a long-time friend of the band — known around Soho for his immaculate tailoring, quick wit, and time spent fighting the good fight in anti-nazi ranks. The accompanying video, filmed by Roger Sargent, captures Bob in his natural habitat: Soho’s backstreets, sharp suit, sharper grin.

To mark the release, Babyshambles have hit the road for the ‘Dandy Hooligan Tour’, their first full run of shows in years, playing a mix of sold-out nights and rowdy hometown stops through November and December.
