BABYSHAMBLES RETURN WITH ‘DANDY HOOLIGAN’ AND A UK TOUR
After more than a decade out of the game, Babyshambles are back swinging with a brand-new single, ‘Dandy Hooligan’ — their first release in twelve years, out now via Strap Originals.
The track has all the hallmarks of a classic Doherty tune — clever, loose, and charmingly chaotic — wrapped in what Pete himself calls “a well turned-out, elegantly crafted reggae-ska-pop song… with a sweet melody to bowl along to with your sharpened walking cane.”
It’s inspired by Bob Morris, a long-time friend of the band — known around Soho for his immaculate tailoring, quick wit, and time spent fighting the good fight in anti-nazi ranks. The accompanying video, filmed by Roger Sargent, captures Bob in his natural habitat: Soho’s backstreets, sharp suit, sharper grin.
To mark the release, Babyshambles have hit the road for the ‘Dandy Hooligan Tour’, their first full run of shows in years, playing a mix of sold-out nights and rowdy hometown stops through November and December.
